Gligor Maksimovski

Gligor Maksimovski was born in 1990 in Kumanovo, Republic of North Macedonia. Since 1999, his primary artistic interest and focus has been photography, with a particular dedication to artistic and documentary photography.

Over the course of his photographic career, Maksimovski has participated in more than 300 group exhibitions and international photography salons in over 30 countries, receiving approximately 60 awards and distinctions for his work.

In recognition of his artistic achievements and contribution to photography, he has been awarded the title of KMF (Candidate Master Photographer) by the Photographic Union of Macedonia, of which he has been a member since 2009. He has also received the prestigious AFIAP (Artist of FIAP) distinction from the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).

In 2018, Maksimovski presented his first solo exhibition, “Three Views,” at the City Library in Bor and at the Radov Begov Konak Gallery in Zaječar, Republic of Serbia.

In April 2025, he presented his second solo exhibition, “Illusion of Human Existence,” at Atelje i Galerija Čubrilo in Zemun, Belgrade, Republic of Serbia.

Alongside his work as an exhibiting photographer, Maksimovski has also served as a member of international photography juries, evaluating artistic photography at several international salons and competitions in the Republic of Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia.

In 2020, he was also a member of the jury at the FILMMAJ Short Film Festival in Kumanovo.

Maksimovski’s photographic work is primarily focused on the human figure, portraiture, everyday life, and documentary storytelling. Through his images, he seeks to capture authentic moments and explore the relationship between people, their environment, and the passage of time.
